Teach Your Children — 3 Comments

  1. Thank you for sharing your experiences about teaching children. I usually shy away from teaching people under 9. It is a lot of work!
I love if you would share a list of models that have been successful in your classes with the young ones.

  2. Given that I live in a community that has very few adult folders, I often find myself teaching groups of children with ages ranging from 6 to 13. I find that non-folding kids are easier to teach than non-folding adults because they are more willing to try. Adults have too much mental baggage.

I also value teaching kids because I as first exposed to origami when I was a young child and I was so impressed with a sense of awe and wonder that it changed my life forever. If I can do that for a child at least once in my life, I will have been a success.
