Three more books due out soon 😉
My latest book is now available (in French or Italian) – “Cats in Origami” – more details here
This is a 2018 repackaging of a book from 2006, “The Origami Giftbox“. The title is slightly odd, only 7 of the models are traditional. Had anyone contacted me beforehand, I could have pointed this out, but book titles are generally decided by the sales team, who come up with a title regardless of the contents, such as my “Beginning Origami Kit”, which is really not suitable for beginners.
The package consists of a soft-back book, where some effort has been made to make the diagrams as large as possible (not always the case) and 120 pull-out sheets of plain and patterned paper, of a decent quality. £10 seems a bit rich though….
My book “Cats In Origami” will be published soon – here’s a model listing
A few clips from videos I’m making for a forthcoming book, “Origami in Motion”, 20 superb “action” designs
The urbane Ray Bolt sent me this photo from the Kyoto Handicraft Centre shop, Kyoto. I’ve got two products on sale!
They are a publisher with whom I’ve now written several books (with 3 more to come) of which I’m very proud. However, they are mostly available in French or Italian only. This is especially galling regarding “British Origami”! If you are a publisher, or have contact with one, please encourage them to contact NuiNui and snap up the English rights to my collection!
I’ve just been totting up my published output so far and find my next two NuiNui books (cats and dogs) will take me to a grand total of 75 (excluding translations, which would push it over 100). Not too shabby, but since only 5 are royalty deals and none of those are selling any more, it means I have to keep ploughing on. Ah well….
I’m working on a book of “action” models (from a square) – if you have any suggestions, I’d be delighted to her them!
