Rose Box by Han-Gyo Shin
I was taught this box by Erica Thompson at the last Sheffield maxi-meeting, using “roller blind” paper. The lines of development from the Kawasaki Rose are clear, but it’s not just another clone. I found it fiendishly difficult (being old and out of practise), but the result was well worth it. I gather there are a couple of variations out there.
It’s just wonderfull! How to make it? I’d like to fold it myself, even if Nick says it’s difficult …
“Roller Blind” paper? It looks very attractive, also like fabric. I’d love to touch it. I wonder were Erika might have found it?
I bought the roller blind fabric from a stock disposal company in the UK which sadly has gone now. All of the roller blind fabric that I have found in shops is too thick to hold a crease well – mine is really thin and is reversible. Someone suggested buying a cheap blind from Ikea, but even that was too good quality. I keep looking….
HEllo ~ Where did you find the diagram for this box?
I think there are photos on the web somewhere – as I said, I learned it from someone else.
