They are a publisher with whom I’ve now written several books (with 3 more to come) of which I’m very proud. However, they are mostly available in French or Italian only. This is especially galling regarding “British Origami”! If you are a publisher, or have contact with one, please encourage them to contact NuiNui and snap up the English rights to my collection!
I’ve just been totting up my published output so far and find my next two NuiNui books (cats and dogs) will take me to a grand total of 75 (excluding translations, which would push it over 100). Not too shabby, but since only 5 are royalty deals and none of those are selling any more, it means I have to keep ploughing on. Ah well….
I’m working on a book of “action” models (from a square) – if you have any suggestions, I’d be delighted to her them!

Had a lovely gift today from Nosy Crow, publishers of a couple of superb books of mine – a signed card and a bird-shaped envelope opener. Very thoughtful, most unusual & much appreciated.
I’ve finally received my comp copies of two recent books, “Colourgami” and “Origami, Poems and Pictures”, both look great and are available from all good book stores 😉
Michael LaFosse was kind enough to give permission for me to include one of his designs in my butterfly book (and it was designed specifically for me!). He writes:
Richard and I have just received our complimentary copy of “Dinosauri in origami”. It is a wonderful collection of models, and a very handsome and generous production. We love the code scan features for printing papers and the online video links for folding lessons. Your clear diagrams are superb, as usual. Well done!
All the best,
Michael and Richard
I’m fortunate to have a good relationship with NuiNui books. Whilst not over-generous financially (who is?), they have high standards of production and their books always look beautiful, with plenty of white “breathing space” inside and beautiful images (mostly taken by me 😉 My latest editions will be on sale soon, “Butterflies” and “Dinosaurs”. Initially in French and Italian, we hope they will soon be available in my native English (along with earlier book such as “British Origami”).
